What Does the PTO Do

The Meadowbrook PTO is a volunteer organization whose members are made up of teachers and parents. Its purpose is to enhance and enrich the education of the children at Meadowbrook.

Our funds are raised by membership dues, free-will donation, and fundraisers throughout the year. All of our funds go directly back to the students, school and community, in the form of assemblies, field trips, classroom supplements, and special events just for fun, like the Ice Cream Social and Back-to-School Family Night.

Everything we do is discussed and voted on at our monthly meetings, and anyone is welcome to attend the meetings and participate in this process. Participation in the PTO is a great way to be involved in your child’s education experience; please consider volunteering for one of our committees if you can.    PTO Objectives As stated in the Meadowbrook PTO Bylaws, our objectives as a PTO are as follows:
  • To promote an environment in which every student has the opportunity to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally
  • To promote a close relationship between the home and the school so parents, step-parents, guardians, teachers, school staff, and school administrators may cooperate in the education and enrichment of the students
  • To enrich and enhance our children’s education - We raise funds for the benefit and the enrichment of the Meadowbrook School Community, its students, and the service projects they undertake
