We’ll be eating lunch and snack outside when the weather is nice, and in the gymnasiums (except Kinder and 1st) during inclement weather. Lunch times are listed below.

• Kinder: Lunch: 11:30 - 11:50; Recess: 11:50 - 12:20 (in their classrooms)
• 1st: Recess: 11:20 - 11:50; Lunch: 11:50 - 12:10 (in their classrooms)
• 2nd: Lunch: 11:55 - 12:15; Recess: 12:15 - 12:45
• 3rd: Lunch: 12:15 - 12:35; Recess: 12:35 - 1:05
• 4th: Recess: 11:45 - 12:15; Lunch: 12:15 - 12:35
• 5th: Lunch: 11:50 - 12:10; Recess: 12:10 - 12:40

Students may go home for lunch as long as a parent or guardian signs a release form with the main office and communicates the plan with the teacher in advance. Please contact Annie Danstrom if you would like to request a form. Students who have a signed permission form will exit and re-enter the building for lunch through the main entrance.

In the event that you find yourself having to bring a lunch to school for your child, please drop it off at the front entrance (red cart) by 11:30 am. This will help minimize the number of students we have in the office waiting for food.

Please send a healthy snack for your child, including fruit and vegetables and other options that are preferably low in refined sugar.

As the number of children with food allergies increases, we strive to make sure that all students are included at Meadowbrook. To that end, your child’s teacher will notify you if there is an allergen that should not be brought into the classroom.

We will continue to have PTO pizza days twice per month. Parents can order pizza for their child via the PTO website.
